INCITING INCIDENT OF A MOVIE

The inciting incident of a popular Pixar film.

I know this a little bit random or cheesy per say, but one of my favorite childhood films is...

Finding Nemo, a Pixar classic. In this movie the inciting incident is very prevalent, when Nemo gets kidnapped by the scuba diver, which then triggers the rest of the events, allowing the story to revolve around that one major plot point, as the father Marlin tries to find his son, he meets characters that help him along the way such as Dory and they go on adventures and steps that will take Marlin to Nemo, whether it be meeting sharks, sea turtles, or even a whale- this story all continues on, because of the inciting incident that occurs at the beginning of the film. Without this plot point, the film wouldn't exist, and wouldn't be as iconic as it is today.
