FRENCN NEW WAVE

FRENCH NEW WAVE

I recently talked about the Neo-realism movement in classic film, but what other movements exist? Perhaps maybe another movement that created a whole new standard on the playing field of film. That movement is better known as French New Wave.

This movement was inspired by the Italia-realism movement, with great influences such as Jean Luc Godard, who began to create films using long takes, and other styles that were un heard of before this time.

One example of a film made during this movement is "Breathless". Without revealing too much, this movie revealed to be contradicting to the typical Hollywood depiction of films, which is why it forever goes down as one of the classics.
